More Information on Maryland
 Home

Maryland is located just north of Virginia along the eastern seaboard of the United States. It is a destination that can be enjoyed almost year-round. Both the summers and winters are relatively mild, and the seasons are very distinguished, from fall’s colored leaves to the bursting spring flowers. Not far from the airport is Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. A Maryland hot spot where visitors can peer into the past, enjoy the present, and glimpse into the future. And best of all, almost all of the sights there are within walking distance of one another. The Walters Art Museum offers a wide selection of art and hosts live music and other events. The Baltimore Museum also contains exciting artifacts and exhibits. At the Maryland Science Center visitors can marvel at ancient fossils to the latest in advancements in space travel. And kids will love the Port Discovery Children’s Museum. Not far off you’ll find the National Aquarium in Baltimore, home to a wide variety of marine life and a dolphin show that’s sure to make a splash. After a day discovering and learning about our world, take a stroll to one of the many restaurants and bars that dot the Inner Harbor, and be sure to check out the restored ships and cannons on the harbor’s edge. Maryland also has some great state parks and gorgeous sandy beaches, including Ocean City. And if that’s not enough, a short drive will take you right to the nation’s capital in Washington, DC.
